Privacy policy

Principle

Protecting your data matters to us. This site is deliberately data-minimising: the calculators run entirely in your browser, and your inputs are neither transmitted to us nor stored.

Controller

The controller under the GDPR is the provider named in the legal notice.

Server log files

When you access the site, the hosting provider processes technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, time, page requested, browser type) to deliver and secure the site. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The server is located in Germany.

Fonts

Fonts are served locally from our own server. There is no connection to third-party servers such as Google Fonts.

Reach measurement (cookieless, no consent required)

For anonymous reach measurement we use Ahrefs Web Analytics (Ahrefs Pte. Ltd., Singapore). The service is cookieless: no cookies are set and no cross-device identifiers are formed; only aggregated access data (e.g. page viewed, referrer, coarse region) is collected, with no personal reference. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving our calculators and guides (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Google Analytics (only with consent)

Additionally we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd., Ireland; operator Google LLC, USA) — only after your explicit consent. This sets cookies and transfers data, including your truncated IP address, to Google, where it is also processed in the USA (on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses / EU-US Data Privacy Framework). Without consent, the Google script is not loaded and no cookie is set (§ 25(1) TDDDG). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with future effect by clearing your browser’s site data.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and you may lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
